June 25, 2025, CHARLESTON, SC – Sonepar has signed an agreement to acquire JAV, an authorized Rockwell Automation distributor in Brazil with over three decades of experience in industrial automation.
Headquartered in Joinville (Santa Catarina), JAV is recognized for its strong presence across Brazil’s main industrial regions, operating in Santa Catarina, Paraná, São Paulo, Bahia, Pará, Maranhão and Amazonas, among others. The company is an authorized Rockwell Automation distributor and has built a reputation for deep technical know-how, customer proximity, and excellence in service delivery.
This acquisition represents another key milestone in Sonepar’s South American growth strategy, as it strengthens their position in a strategic market and deepens their capabilities in industrial automation – one of the region’s fastest-evolving segments.
The transaction has been signed and is now pending approval from the Brazilian antitrust authority (CADE). Until regulatory clearance is obtained, JAV will continue to operate as an independent company.
